INTRODUCTION
MAJ-CHEMIE LTD manufactures, formulates and distributes pesticides, fertilizers and industrial chemicals. It prides itself of formulating effective environmentally friendly agricultural and domestic/household insecticides based on natural Kenyan pyrethrum.
It also runs a consultancy department that acts as a source of product advancement as well as provision of solutions to various issues running in industries in our country. The Company was registered in 2005 as a limited company in the Republic of Kenya and has so far distributed over 1 million high quality products to over 10,000 customers in Kenya and immediate neighboring countries in East Africa.
The Company has a total of ten strong partners comprising of; institutions of higher learning (universities), research institutions, farmer cooperatives, blue chip local and international commercial and manufacturing enterprises. The Pyrethrum based products that include, Pyrebex Mosquito Repellent LED (Liquid Electric Device) and Pyrebex Aerosol among others have the potential of increasing pyrethrum flower production in the Country thereby alleviating poverty in rural Kenya.

Organization’s history
Maj-Chemie focuses on developing top quality products with the aim of providing affordable solutions to its customers and stakeholders since 2005. The Company has a strong Research & Development base and partners with key national research institutions such as the Pyrethrum & Other Industrial Directorate, University of Nairobi, Coffee Research Institute, Tea Research Institute of Kenya, Ministry of Agriculture and Pyrethrum Farmers Association.
We have developed products that are both competitive and beneficial to our customers who include key institutions such as National Cereals & Produce Board and De La Rue Currency & Security Print Ltd. Maj-Chemie Ltd has identified the pyrethrum plant as a key resource in the formulation of user and natural, environmental friendly, agricultural and public health products.
Pyrethrum based products
i) Pyretone EC- A natural pyrethrum based broad spectrum insecticide for the control of insects in the floriculture, horticulture and food industry.
ii) Pyretone Grease– A natural pyrethrum based grease for the control of Ants and Green scales on coffee bushes.
iii) Crawla Dust– A natural pyrethrum based dust for the control of Bedbugs and Ants in homes and hospitality industry.
iv) Pyrebex Aerosol– A pyrethrum based aerosol spray containing only natural molecules without PBO for the control of mosquitoes in homes and hospitality industry.
v) Pyrebex Mosquito Repellent LED– A natural pyrethrum based Liquid Electric Device mosquito repellent for the control of mosquitoes in homes and hospitality industry.
